Going gluten free can seem intimidating, but I’m here to ensure it’s not. Gluten free is simply a diet or lifestyle that avoids foods containing gluten, which is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Going gluten free may help with digestive health, reduce bloating, improve concentration, and even help with weight loss. What’s great about going gluten free is that so many foods are naturally gluten free, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy, nuts and seeds. There are also plenty of gluten free foods you can buy at the grocery store that are just as delicious, like cereal, breads, wraps and even pizza. With a little bit of researching and some simple substitutions, you’ll have a gluten free diet in no time.

Try this as your next healthier meal option to serve up for you and your loved ones:

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – 1 broccoli head, cut into florets – 1 red bell pepper, chopped – 1 small onion, chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 2 carrots, sliced – ½ cup snow peas – ½ cup cubed and cooked tofu For the Sauce: – ½ cup orange juice – 2 tablespoons lemon juice – 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger – 2 teaspoons honey


Directions: 1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Add the vegetables and stir fry for 3-4 minutes. 3. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lemon juice, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, and honey. 4. Pour the sauce over the vegetables, and stir to combine. 5. Continue cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the sauce thickens. 6. Serve over hot cooked brown rice. Enjoy!
