Being gluten free means avoiding all forms of wheat, rye, barley, and any products that contain these grains. It can be difficult to make major nutritional changes, but there are good things associated with going gluten free. There are plenty of foods that naturally do not contain gluten such as dairy, eggs, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and meats. Foods such as quinoa, millet, brown rice and buckwheat are all naturally gluten free and offer a great source of proteins. Going gluten free can also offer health benefits such as improved digestion, a more regulated immune system and an improved overall sense of well-being.
