Being gluten-free means limiting or avoiding foods which contain gluten, including wheat, barley, rye, and some oats. Gluten-free foods include fruits, vegetables, dairy products, grains such as quinoa, rice, and corn, and any product labeled as gluten-free. Some of the benefits of avoiding gluten are improved digestive health, less bloating, an increase in energy levels and fewer food intolerances. In addition to these benefits, people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or wheat allergies can greatly reduce their symptoms and inflammation by following a gluten-free diet.
