One of the best parts of camping is being able to truly get away from it all and enjoy the outdoors. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t glam up your camping table with some exciting DIY centerpieces to make your trip even more memorable. Here’s a look at five unique centerpieces that you can easily make yourself and take with you on your next camping trip.

Mason Jar Fireflies: Gather up some mason jars and fill them with battery-operated tea light votives. For a larger effect, use larger jars or jars of different sizes. Scatter the pine needles from a nearby pine tree or small pieces of wood around the jars and your table will be lit up with a unique centerpiece.

Birch Log Candles: Head to your local craft store and pick out some white birch logs with small bark chips still attached. Carefully carve out a hole large enough to hold a tea-light candle inside each log and insert the candles. Place the logs around the center of the table and around the edges to create a warm and inviting centerpiece.

Palm Leaf Bowls: Start with large palm leaves, like Fan Palms. Those will be the base of your bowl. Then cut wide strips of smaller palm leaves and weave them around the fan palm leaf to form a bowl shape. Secure with twine if needed. Fill the bowl with your favorite trail mix and set this in the center of the table for a unique and tasty centerpiece.

Outdoor Flower Collection: Gather up some of your favorite colorful wildflowers from the nearby meadow and arrange them in a vase. Place the vase in the center of the table and the beauty of the outdoors will be the centerpiece of your evening.

Hanging Mason Jar Lanterns: Grab a few mason jars and a couple of lengths of twine and create your own outdoor gas lamps. Fill the jars with a few tea lights and hang from the branches of nearby trees, or along strands of twine, so they can float above your table. This will be an eye-catching centerpiece and it will also create a really cool ambiance by the light of the tea lights.

Not only will these five creative DIY table centerpieces add an extra spark of excitement to your camping trip, but they’ll also help create an atmosphere of cozy warmth and create an extra special evening. Enjoy!
